Mixing TG6

Slow speed high torque mixing drill with 100mm mixing paddle and A stiff bladed flat bottomed pallet knife

Base liquid, hardener liquid, fire retardant filler, original container which acts as a mixing bucket.

Carefully pour all contents of the hardener container (bottle) into the base container.
Mix with pallet knife.
Pour into the original container, and ensuring all the mixture is removed from
the small container to the large container. Remix the two liquid.

Open the plastic bag which contains the dry filler.
Add the contents of the bag carefully whilst mixing.
This operation may be carried out in 2,3 or 4 stages to minimize evolution of airborne filler.
Ensure the bucket remains firmly on the ground and mix thoroughly
until an even thick pourable thoroughly wetted grout is produced.

Pour into chosen location either directly from the container or into a tun-dish or
other suitable receptacle which will give a “head” of TG6 to maximize gravity flow.

It may be necessary to over fill the hole or trench in order to allow for the degassing effect of the TG6 formulation. i.e. the method which ensures the TG6 has a consistent and repeatable density. (S.G.)
